“A great read for leaders looking to inspire their team to the highest levels of success.”

—Dr. Bob Rotella, New York Times bestselling author of How Champions Think

I read Ben’s newsletter every week, and I always come away with ideas on how to grow, develop, and improve. This book will do the same thing for you. A must-read!”

—Kevin Eastman, former NBA assistant coach and executive, 2008 champion Boston Celtics

“As an avid reader of Ben’s weekly THURSDAY FIRE messages, I’m continually impressed by his ability to simplify and communicate recipes for effective leadership. Not to mention, I admire someone who practices what he preaches!”

—Alan Stein Jr., keynote speaker and author of Raise Your Game

“Ben has an incredible grasp on the importance of building and sustaining a culture of excellence. He has an obvious passion for leadership and people. I have found his weekly messages to be extremely helpful in my leadership journey; his words never fail to resonate with me in a very meaningful way!”

—Jeremy Foley, University of Florida athletic director emeritus; twenty-seven national championships

“I’ve had the pleasure of following Ben’s weekly guidepost for Disciplined Leaders since the inception of THURSDAY FIRE. His message is straightforward, thoughtful, and consistent. He reflects on his personal experiences, life lessons, and commitment to excellence. These reflections are truly valuable, but the thing I feel sets Thursday Fire apart from most books of its type is the smooth, reaffirming inclusion of quotes and experiences from other leaders from all walks of life. His continued effort to expand his horizons through voracious reading comes through loud and clear, providing a wonderful read.”

—Tony Markel, vice chairman, Markel Group

“Ben’s book could’ve been titled Through the Fire, because that is what he has come through both literally and figuratively. An exemplary team-builder dating back to his time as an All-American on the gridiron, Ben taps into a reservoir of experiences, observations, and relationships to offer leadership lessons to all ages in business, sports, and life in general.”

—Dr. Chris Howard, inaugural recipient of the William V. Campbell Trophy for top scholar athlete in college football; two-time college president
