Two Voices, One Cancer Journey
A Patient’s Story and Doctor’s Guide to Navigating Modern Cancer Care
At forty-three years old, newly married, and days before his honeymoon, Will was diagnosed with stage 3 colorectal cancer. Overnight, the bliss of a new marriage collided with the dread of a life-threatening illness. For Tanaz, his wife and a practicing physician, the diagnosis changed her role in an instant, from newlywed to researcher, caregiver, and interpreter between two worlds: conventional oncology and holistic medicine.
Two Voices, One Cancer Journey describes in detail how they navigated those worlds together. Told from two perspectives, patient and doctor, husband and wife, it illuminates both the deeply human experience of confronting cancer and practical lessons learned through surgery, chemotherapy, integrative therapies, and previously unknown emotional terrain.
As cancer rates rise, this book is a companion for patients looking for hope, caregivers looking for direction, and anyone who wants to learn how conventional and holistic medicine can work together.
Readers will see themselves in Will’s fear, strength, and search for meaning while benefiting from Tanaz’s medical training and her ability to clarify a health care system that is often confusing and overwhelming. Two Voices, One Cancer Journey helps readers to ask the right questions, personalize their approach, and make empowered choices. Most importantly, readers will know they are not alone.
