Pathways Through Polarization
A Guide to Convening Alliances That Transform Conflict into Common Ground
PATHWAYS THROUGH POLARIZATION provides business leaders, policymakers, and individuals the inspiration and the practical guidance to find solutions to the important problems they confront. The art and science of alliances described in this book will provide a pathway through our polarized and fraught civic, economic, policy, and political environments.
Founded on the principles outlined in Mike Leavitt and Rich McKeown’s book, Finding Allies, Building Alliances, and grounded in two decades of experience and dozens of successful alliances, the book identifies the specific elements and principles of alliances that will deliver enduring success in the civic, business, policy, and political worlds. Where some of the world’s conversations offer only polarization, alliances offer not just a pathway into difficult terrain but a pathway through it. Alliances drive innovative networks, consensus standards, productive businesses, policy solutions, and improved regulations and laws. Alliances await you, the new generation of leaders who are dedicated to civil engagement in trusted settings, who are substantive and innovative, who embrace complexity, and who desire to bring others along in the thrill of innovation and the celebration of enduring results.Mike Leavitt
